An independent UK accounting practice built around accuracy, discretion, and long-term client relationships.
LedgerBridge Accounting is independently owned and operated by Ankit Marasini as a Sole Trader in the United Kingdom. My name is Ankit Marasini, and I built LedgerBridge Accounting because I believe small businesses deserve the same standard of financial care as much larger organisations. What began as helping a handful of friends organise their books has grown into a dedicated independent practice serving sole traders, freelancers, contractors, startups, and small businesses across the country.
Accounting is a personal subject. Numbers may be technical, but the businesses behind them are anything but — every set of accounts represents someone's livelihood, their ambitions, and the choices they've made along the way. Because LedgerBridge is a sole-trader practice, every client speaks directly with me. There are no account managers, no handoffs, and no impersonal ticket queues. When you send an email, you are writing to the person doing the work.
That direct relationship matters. It means I understand the context behind your figures, remember what we discussed last month, and can spot the small changes in your business early — often before they become issues. It also means I can offer honest, practical guidance instead of the vague, hedged answers larger practices sometimes fall back on.
Accuracy is not something I aspire to; it is the baseline of my service. Every transaction is categorised carefully, every reconciliation is checked, and every report is reviewed before it reaches you. I use modern accounting software combined with structured internal checklists so that nothing is missed, no matter how small. This diligence is what allows my clients to sleep well knowing their VAT returns are complete, their expenses are properly recorded, and their year-end figures will hold up under any level of scrutiny.
Where errors do surface — and in any long-running set of books, occasional inconsistencies appear — I address them clearly, explain what happened, and put in place the controls that stop them from recurring. Transparency about mistakes is, in my view, an essential part of financial integrity.
The information you share with an accountant is inherently sensitive. Bank statements, personal income, business margins, contracts, and payroll details all sit at the heart of what I handle every day. I treat that information with the seriousness it deserves. All client documents are stored using encrypted, access-controlled systems. Nothing is shared with third parties without explicit authorisation, and no client information is ever used for marketing, benchmarking, or any secondary purpose.
My Client Confidentiality Policy and Privacy Policy set out the specific safeguards in plain language, and I am always happy to walk through them with new clients before any engagement begins.
Supporting UK businesses is not a slogan for LedgerBridge — it is the core of the work. UK tax and reporting rules change frequently, and small businesses often shoulder the compliance burden without in-house expertise. My role is to close that gap. I keep track of relevant HMRC updates, Making Tax Digital developments, and best-practice changes in bookkeeping so that my clients don't have to. When something meaningfully affects your business, I raise it directly rather than burying it in a monthly report.
The businesses I work with span retail, construction, hospitality, professional services, technology, healthcare, e-commerce, and independent consulting. Each has its own operating rhythm, and my job is to adapt to it — not the other way around. A hospitality operator with daily cash takings and a software consultant on monthly retainers need very different bookkeeping structures, and that tailoring is built into every setup I deliver.
Reliability is what separates useful bookkeeping from decorative bookkeeping. Records that are only updated at year-end are records that have already lost most of their value. I work to a defined monthly cadence: transactions categorised, bank feeds reconciled, receipts matched, and a clear summary produced. When a client needs a figure — for a loan application, a tender, a landlord reference, or simply a decision they're weighing — the numbers are ready.
That reliability extends to communication. Clients hear from me on the schedule we agreed, and I respond to new enquiries within one business day. If something takes longer to resolve, I say so openly and give a realistic timeline. Predictability is, in itself, a form of professional respect.
Some of my most valued relationships have grown over several years, moving with clients as they've launched new ventures, changed structures, taken on staff, or navigated difficult periods. That continuity is only possible because the practice is small, personal, and deliberately built to stay that way. I would rather serve a limited number of clients exceptionally well than a large number adequately.
For clients, the benefit is straightforward: the person managing your accounts today will be the same person managing them next year. Institutional memory stays intact, and the finer details of your business — the seasonal dips, the recurring supplier issues, the quirks of your invoicing — remain properly understood.
LedgerBridge is a modern practice by design. Documents are exchanged through secure portals, not email attachments. Bookkeeping is maintained in cloud-based software with proper audit trails. Meetings happen by video call as easily as in person, and reports are delivered in formats that are easy to share with lenders, business partners, or other advisors.
Modernity is not about being fashionable — it is about respecting your time. Fewer chase-ups, fewer document requests, cleaner reporting, and faster turnaround are the direct benefits of using the right tools well.
When you engage LedgerBridge, you can expect: a clearly written scope of work before anything begins; fixed pricing with no unpleasant surprises on the invoice; timely communication; accurate records; discreet handling of sensitive information; and an honest, practical relationship with a professional who genuinely cares about the outcome. Those are not aspirations — they are the standard I hold my own practice to, engagement after engagement.
If that sounds like the kind of accounting support your business has been looking for, I would be glad to hear from you. Get in touch and we can start with a conversation.
