Client Confidentiality Policy

1. Purpose

This Client Confidentiality Policy sets out how LedgerBridge Accounting handles confidential information shared by clients in the course of any engagement.

2. Definition of Confidential Information

Confidential information includes, but is not limited to: financial records; bank and transaction data; personal identification information; commercial contracts; payroll information; supplier and customer details; and any other information a reasonable person would treat as confidential.

Confidential information is used only to deliver the services agreed with the client, meet legal obligations, or manage the practice's internal administration.

5. Disclosure

Confidential information is not disclosed to third parties except: with the client's prior consent; to processors necessary to deliver the service (for example, cloud accounting platforms); or where disclosure is required by law, such as under the Proceeds of Crime Act 2002.

6. Duration

Confidentiality obligations continue indefinitely after the end of the engagement, in respect of information received during the engagement.

7. Breach Response

Any suspected breach of confidentiality is investigated immediately, affected clients are notified promptly, and appropriate remedial action is taken. Regulatory notifications are made where required.
